Event Business Development Manager

This role is 100% commission-based, 1099 position so the sky’s the limit for top performers!

The Event Business Development Manager is pivotal in generating new sales opportunities and adding qualified leads to the sales funnel. This role involves prospecting, following up, and converting prospects into new customers and sales. You must be customer and company-focused, acting responsibly and with integrity at all times.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through various channels (cold calling, emailing, networking, social media, etc.).
  • Schedule meetings and appointments for account executives with qualified leads to facilitate the sales process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential clients to generate new business for the company.
  • Diligently follow up with prospects, ensuring they meet the criteria for a qualified lead before passing them on to account executives.
  • Conduct discovery calls to establish the top end of the sales funnel, understanding prospect needs, pain points, and potential solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for expansion.
  • Collaborate with the sales executive team and management team to develop strategies for attracting new clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and update customer information in the CRM system.
  • Attending industry conferences.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in marketing, advertising, sales, business administration, or equivalent
  • Experience in consultative selling
  • Able to sell services to businesses
  • Proficiency in MS Office and or Apple i-Works
  • Knowledge of HubSpot is an asset
  • Strong communication skills to thrive in a challenging and independent work environment
  • Proven ability to generate sales leads and develop sales KPIs
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to turn ideas into marketing campaigns
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with key clients and partners
